Day Eight - Prayer for those you don't like

Today is the 8th day of the 40 Days of Prayer challenge. If you missed yesterday's prayer and would like to add it to today's prayer, you can find it here.

The entire law is summed up in a single command: "Love your neighbor as yourself." ~Galatians 5:14

Today, we pray for those we don't like. In the world we live in, it's inevitable that not everyone gets along. In some ways, that's what makes the world an interesting place. At the same time, not liking someone doesn't give us free reign to wish ill will on them. Today, pray for someone you don't get along with that God will keep them safe. If there is a specific situation that caused you to not like them, have you forgiven them? Christ tells us to forgive others just as He forgave us. Perhaps today is the day to let that go!

If you are joining us on this 40 day journey of prayer, please add your link below so we can support one another in love. If you're so inclined, you can also grab the button to the left to let your readers know you are participating and invite them to join the challenge!

  1. I love this! Plain and simple, pray for people you don't like! There is this girl who does everything in her power to annoy me and aggrivate me. I've been complaining, and I've totally overlooked what I shoud be doing... praying! This one really is a challenge. :)
